At the end of June, we got to host the largest mission team we’ve welcomed to Guatemala! A team of 44 highschool students and their leaders spent the week in Cruz Blanca hosting a VBS, delivering water filters, moving dirt and leveling out the area around the multipurpose court, gathering important measurements that help us measure malnutrition rates, and giving out rain boots! Oh, and the students took inventory of and cleaned the storage room! Safe to say, it was a busy, fulfilling week of service! What made it ever sweeter? One of the teachers from the program in Chivoc, Juan Manuel, and two of our Cruz Blanca college students were able to spend time during the week helping out with the activities!
What a beautiful example of unity- getting to see a Chivoc teacher, Cruz Blanca teachers, Unum college leadership program students, and highschool students from Colorado all serving alongside one another!
